The pattern is a complete re-do of an old McCall’s jacket (I basically stole the collar part) and I used my sloper for the body and sleeves. The main fabric is a faille from Stylemaker’s selvedge yard. I added the poly velour for texture and to make up the fact that the remnant was too short. Hand appliqued Irish symbols on back and sleeves to add a bit of interest.
The contrast of the faille and velour is striking. And, the dimensions of the Irish symbols are just right for the back of the coat. Thanks for sharing – typing this on a rainy day, likely why this post caught my attention 🙂
