To our Dear Fellow Sewists,
At our next meeting on Sunday September 15th, we will build on the two fabulous presentations given by Mary Fleischer (thanks Mary!). Mary has taught us about performance fabric (stretch fabric) and how to print and assemble PDF patterns.
At this meeting we will introduce Apostrophe Patterns – an online pattern company that offers auto generated patterns based on your unique measurements.
There will be demonstrations for determining a fabric’s stretch and taking your own measurements for leggings. If you want help getting your measurements, please dress appropriately. We can lock the doors and kick any men out if you suddenly feel inspired and want to be measured in your underwear.
This is a great opportunity to get started with this innovative pattern generator and sew up some perfectly fitting leggings, sweat pants, or pajama pants for yourself or those close to you. We hope everyone will give it a try so we can all share our results at a future meeting.
We have attached some videos to familiarize yourself with the process. Come with your questions!
Of course we will leave time for show and tell. We plan to have fun!
