Automatic Pattern Changes
What changes do you automatically make to garment patterns? If you’re tall, you probably add length. Maybe you move the shoulders forward. Do you always add pockets? Or always remove them?
We’ll compare notes on which changes each of us always makes, and talk about what to do about changes when dealing with a new pattern. Some pattern companies design for specific changes (Sinclair Patterns always include petite and tall sizes, Itch to Stitch has different cup sizes in each pattern)…do those work for you? If you like, show us how you make your changes.
As always, our meetings begin with a little business, then our program. We wrap up with Sew and Tell: bring your latest makes or latest frustrations, and you’ll get admiration or advice (whichever you prefer!).
