ParticipantComing up on Wed Feb 19 is the next Zoom Book Club meeting! The meeting is from 7:00 to 8:30pm and we sometimes end sooner than 8:30pm. All members are welcome! This is an in-between month where we are not discussing a fiction or non-fiction book but are sharing about How-To and Technique Books. These can be library copies that you’ve checked out or personal copies that you own.
It’s a chance to hear about books you may not find yourself. I’m not into machine embroidery but I am fascinated by watching these machines do “their thing”; hearing about the most helpful machine embroidery books will expand understanding about this craft and artistry.
The second part of the meeting will be starting to share book suggestions for two fiction and two nonfiction books for book club meetings in May, July, September, and November. Sometime in April there will be a Google or other type of survey for voting on your choices. A criteria for recommending a book to be on the survey is that you have read the book and found it enjoyable, interesting, or informative.
The Book Club tab on the Members Only part of the chapter website has information on Book Club SIG activities from October 2024 thru upcoming April 2025.
All members are invited to attend a Zoom Book Club meeting to check out if it interests you. Please email ASGbookclub@seattleasg.org for more information.
Happy Reading!
Marion Scichilone and Cynthia Blair, book club co-facilitators
