ASG National Organization

The American Sewing Guild is a non-profit organization. We are the Greater Seattle chapter, which covers the northern Puget Sound Area. To the south is the Olympia chapter, to the west is the Silverdale chapter, and to the east is the Spokane/Coeur D'Alene chapter.

We welcome anyone who is interested in learning about or sharing their love of sewing.

We're the Greater Seattle chapter of the American Sewing Guild. The American Sewing Guild (ASG) is a national non-profit organization for people who love to sew! ASG is open to all skill levels and all areas of interest - whether it's garments, couture, quilts, home dec, or accessories. Try us out! We have 8 neighborhood groups from Ferndale to Renton, and 4 special interest groups. See the Groups and Meetings page and visit a meeting that's convenient to you!

Spring Education Event: May 16. Nancy Cornwell of Fleece Fame. Nancy brings her trunk show and seminar on successful sewing with fleece. Learn the best in fleece sewing techniques from the best in the industry. $40 members, $45 non-members includes continental breakfast and lunch. Register now!

ASG National Conference in Albuquerque, July 16-20. Open to all ASG members, the National Conference features workshops, seminars and lectures that span all facets of the sewing experience. Enjoy fashion shows, tours in Albuquerque and Santa Fe, and exhibits too.

Fall Education Event: September 12. Nancy Nix-Rice, imaging and wardrobe consultant, has spent her entire career in training, fashion and image. Save the date for this all day seminar where Nancy will show us how to consider color, body type, line and design which will help us make the best wardrobe and sewing choices for ourselves.

Recent Events

Spring Retreat at Dumas Bay in March. We spent three days sewing, fitting, creating, learning and enjoying the view of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. Our Fall retreat will be in October at Camp Huston in Gold Bar.
After-Expo Banquet in February. Linda Lee, owner of Sewing Workshop patterns, was our featured speaker. After a day at Sewing and Stitchery Expo in Puyallup, we regroup for a relaxing and fun evening to meet with other ASG members from across the nation.
