Cynthia Blair (a member of the ASG satellite group Seattle Wearable Arts Group, or SWAG) reports that her wearable art tunic, “Flower Frenzy”, has been selected for the Handweavers Guild of America (HGA)’s Seasons of the Smokies exhibit. It will be displayed at the juried fashion show and exhibit in the Knoxville Convention Center, Knoxville, Tennessee, July 15-18 at Convergence this summer.  While HGA is a weavers’ guild, its members work in a variety of media and the juried exhibit and fashion show is open to all types of textiles.  (Photo with green vines is the back; the other photo is the front)  Flower Frenzy

Cynthia, hi.  I haven’t clicked to Makers Make for a while.  And, I’m just reading this post now!   Are you heading to Convergence too?  It will be my first and am super excited.  I’m signed up for three weaving classes.  What a bright tunic — am looking forward to seeing it in person. If you’re attending, let me know and we could meet up.  Take care!
