Had a chance to be in Bellingham on Saturday and finally visited the Ragfinery store. It’s a “nonprofit retail store dedicated to educating our community about textile waste, creative reuse and mending.” Buttons and a lot of fabric remnants are sold by the pound, material is sorted in bins by type, and there are notions, yarn, sewing and quilting patterns, and more. Their address is 1421 North Forest St, (360) 738-6977, closed Sundays and Mondays, and the website address is https://www.ragfinery.com/. They’re on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/ragfinery/ with lots of educational posts.
