This jacket uses sheer georgette print quilted to cotton broadcloth, with the color block pieces and slacks from a heavier poly poplin.  All three fabrics are stash acquired at different times.  All I had to buy new was the buttons.  There wasn’t a set of 9 in my button drawer that I likes enough.

Very classy.  Always nice to see what’s lurking in our fabric stashes.

Is the print including a purple color?  The silver toned buttons look great.  Looks like a nice warm jacket for these current cold days!

Now that I am finally getting my sewing room in shape, I can see what fabrics I have in my stash.  I like my stash fabrics a lot better than anything I see in stores!  I look forward to seeing this jacket, Carolyn, next time I come to your house!

Wow, now that’s a “stash busting” exercise I actully want to try! So glad I clicked on the thread Carolyn – you’ve inspired me. Beautiful quilt too.
