ParticipantHi everyone. The Book Club tab on the Greater Seattle ASG website shares ” . . . . . And, other How-To and Technique Book discussions will be held on June 18th and October 15th. . . . .”
June 18th is not listed on the chapter’s calendar but I’d like to invite anyone who can attend tomorrow night to join via the Zoom link below!
Also, the following text in bold font has been sent in to update the Zoom Book Club tab in the Members Only section of the chapter’s website:
Here is a revised list of our remaining 2025 meeting dates, all 7–8:30pm:
Wed Jun 18 — sharing about How To and Technique books, blogs, podcasts, Facebook groups, etc. Also, sharing about books recently read or listened to. Marion is half-way through listening to The Seamstress of Acadie, really enjoying it, and there is a family connection for me to this book!
Wed Jul 16 — The Dressmakers of London by Julia Kelly (fiction) already selected. The author approached our guild about joining a book club meeting to talk about her book and the extensive research she did in writing it. Sadly she needed to cancel joining the chapter for a scheduled all-chapter program on Saturday, September 6. But we’ll still meet and talk about this book! How was the pace of the writing, if listening to an audio copy how was the narrator’s voice and diction, would you recommend this book to others?
Wed Sep 17 — survey soon to select non-fiction title
Wed Oct 15 — sharing about How To and Technique books, blogs, podcasts, Facebook groups, etc. Also, sharing about books recently read or listened to.
Wed Nov 19 — survey soon to select fiction title
Here’s the Zoom link (always same link for 2024/2025 meetings):
