Even Mother Nature cooperated and surprised us with a sunny day for our first Spring Social. It was a smashing success according to the attendees. And as our team remarked, “Not even one teacup or saucer was broken”. Teapots filled with spring flowers on each table, floral runners on top of tablecloths, and beautiful china teacups and saucers invited you to relax with a cup of tea or coffee and a baked good. Many guests followed the floral theme of the day and added to the spring feeling. Pamela wins the prize for the best purse. Who knew that Carolyn is a closet actor. We dreamed up the flower game and she executed the whole thing. My trivia contest will be improved upon by Rhee who has volunteered to do the next one. Mary F. gets the award for the most beautiful AND tasty cookies. She not only can sew but is a fantastic baker. Lorie is the doll queen with her haute courtier doll clothing and bag display. We all agreed that this was such a fun event, and it must be on the calendar for next year. Thank you all for attending. We hope you made a new friend or two and had fun visiting with old friends.
